RangeFest 2026 – Frequently Asked Questions

1. When and where is RangeFest 2026?

RangeFest 2026 will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 5 Dogs Range near Bakersfield, California.

The main event runs from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. VIP ticket holders receive early admission beginning at 8:00 AM.

RangeFest is a full-day shooting sports event featuring supervised firearm demonstrations, hands-on shooting activities, competitions, games, music, prizes, food vendors, industry exhibitors, and more. Proceeds from the event will benefit Operation Second Chance.

2. How much are tickets, and what do they include?

General Admission – $50

General admission includes:

  • Entry beginning at 9:00 AM
  • Two ammo vouchers for shooting activities
  • Access to the main event activities
  • A RangeFest swag bag
  • Stickers and a koozie
  • Complimentary eye protection
  • Complimentary hearing protection

VIP Admission – $100

VIP admission includes everything provided with general admission, plus:

  • Early admission beginning at 8:00 AM
  • Exclusive VIP benefits
  • An enhanced swag bag
  • $50 worth of raffle tickets
  • Entry to the beer garden
  • An official RangeFest 2026 event T-shirt

Children ages 10 and younger receive free admission. An adult must accompany all minors.

3. Can I buy tickets at the gate?

Tickets may be available at the gate while supplies last. However, RangeFest recommends purchasing tickets in advance to help guarantee admission, especially because VIP tickets are limited.

Tickets can be purchased online through RangeFest.com. Ticket purchases are transferable but are not refundable. Guests should bring a printed or digital copy of their ticket to the event.

5. Can I shoot firearms at the event?

Yes. RangeFest attendees can participate in supervised shooting experiences at professionally staffed shooting stations.

Planned activities include:

  • Handgun demonstrations
  • AR-15 shooting stations
  • Competition pistols and rifles
  • High-power rifle shooting at distances up to 325 yards
  • Precision optics demonstrations
  • Clay shooting
  • The belt-fed M240
  • Additional firearm demonstrations and shooting competitions

Certified instructors and range personnel will staff the shooting stations and provide safety instructions before each activity. All participants must follow the directions of event staff, instructors, vendors, and range safety officers.

Outside firearms are not permitted at RangeFest. Firearms used during demonstrations will be supplied by participating exhibitors and shooting stations.

6. How do the ammo vouchers work?

Ammo vouchers are prepaid shooting tickets that attendees redeem at participating live-fire stations. They are not physical boxes of ammunition and cannot be taken home or exchanged for ammunition.

General admission includes two ammo vouchers. Additional voucher packages may be purchased before the event:

  • 4-pack – $20
  • 10-pack – $40
  • 20-pack – $75
  • 50-pack – $150

Guests who purchase vouchers online can present their QR code or order number at check-in to receive their shooting tickets.

The number of tickets required depends on the firearm, caliber, and shooting activity. A valid event admission ticket and shooter wristband are required to participate at live-fire stations.

7. Will there be raffles and prizes?

Yes. RangeFest 2026 will feature raffles, giveaways, games, and prizes throughout the event.

Raffle proceeds will help support Operation Second Chance, an organization serving wounded, injured, and ill veterans and their families.

Individual raffle tickets are available for $10, and VIP admission includes $50 worth of raffle tickets. Additional information about available prizes and raffle procedures will be provided through RangeFest.com and at the event.

8. Is there an age requirement to attend?

RangeFest is a family-friendly event, and children are welcome to attend. Children ages 10 and younger receive free admission.

An adult must accompany minors. Participation in shooting activities may depend on the participant’s age, size, ability to safely operate the firearm, and the approval of the instructor or range safety officer supervising the station.

A parent or legal guardian must complete any required waiver for a minor before the minor participates in a shooting activity.

9. Do I need to sign a liability waiver?

Yes. Attendees must complete a liability waiver before participating in shooting activities.

A digital waiver link may be provided after purchasing a ticket. Waivers may also be completed at the event. Guests are encouraged to complete the form before arriving to make the check-in process faster.

Attendees should bring:

  • A valid government-issued photo ID
  • A digital or printed event ticket
  • A completed waiver, when available

Parents or legal guardians must complete the required documentation for participating minors.

10. Is eye and hearing protection required?

Yes. Proper eye and hearing protection must be worn in designated shooting areas.

Complimentary eye and hearing protection are included with paid admission and will be provided in the attendee swag bag. Guests may also bring their own appropriate eye and hearing protection.

All posted range rules and instructions from event staff must be followed throughout the day.

11. Will food and drinks be available?

Yes. RangeFest will feature food vendors, drinks, and other refreshments throughout the event.

VIP admission includes entry to the beer garden. Guests entering any age-restricted beverage area must present valid identification and comply with all event and California alcohol regulations.

Water will also be available at the event, and attendees are encouraged to stay hydrated throughout the day.

12. What should I bring to RangeFest?

Attendees should bring:

  • A valid government-issued photo ID
  • A printed or digital event ticket
  • A completed liability waiver
  • Closed-toe shoes
  • Weather-appropriate clothing
  • Sunscreen
  • A hat
  • Cash or a credit or debit card for food, merchandise, raffle tickets, and additional shooting vouchers

RangeFest takes place at an outdoor shooting facility. Guests should prepare for warm weather, sun exposure, dust, and uneven ground.

Complimentary eye and hearing protection are included with paid admission.

13. Can I bring my own firearm or ammunition?

No. Outside firearms are not permitted at RangeFest 2026.

Firearms used during demonstrations and live-fire activities will be supplied and controlled by participating exhibitors, instructors, and shooting-station personnel.

Guests should not bring personal firearms or ammunition into the event.

14. Is RangeFest suitable for first-time shooters?

Yes. RangeFest is designed for both experienced firearm enthusiasts and people who are completely new to shooting.

Professionally staffed stations give first-time participants an opportunity to learn basic firearm handling, receive safety instructions, and try different shooting experiences in a controlled environment.

Participants must listen to the complete safety briefing and follow all instructions before handling or firing a firearm.

15. What organization does RangeFest support?

RangeFest 2026 benefits Operation Second Chance.

Operation Second Chance assists wounded, injured, and ill veterans and their families. Attendees can support the organization by purchasing raffle tickets, participating in event activities, and visiting its booth during RangeFest.

16. How do I become a vendor, exhibitor, or sponsor?

Businesses interested in participating can submit the sponsorship and exhibitor application available on RangeFest.com.

Sponsorship opportunities begin at $250 and may include opportunities to:

  • Sell products or services
  • Demonstrate products to attendees
  • Build relationships with shooting sports enthusiasts
  • Receive exposure through radio, digital, print, and social media promotion
  • Support a nonprofit serving veterans
